🎯 The first-ever Archery800 is officially in the books, and the very first Archery800 Champion has been crowned! 🏆
This past weekend, June 20–21, we hosted the very first Archery800 shoot—and what an incredible weekend it was!
Archery800 is something a little different. It’s a unique event for all single-string shooters, featuring its own evolving format, creative challenges, and a few surprises along the way.
The course included 38 3D targets plus one Challenge Shot, with special stations where archers had to follow fun instructions or tackle unexpected twists. The whole idea is simple: create a big, playful archery experience where we can try new concepts, experiment, and most importantly, enjoy the sport.
Over the weekend, archers completed three rounds of 38 targets each. Saturday morning featured the first 2-arrow round, followed by a 1-arrow Hunter Round in the afternoon. The competition wrapped up on Sunday morning with the final 2-arrow round, making for a fun and varied challenge from start to finish.
The weather was fantastic, the food kept everyone well fed, and even the infamous flies seemed happy to see so many arrows flying—although archers are never the easiest crowd to impress!
One of the biggest highlights was crowning the very first Archery800 Champion, following a special elimination round that kept competitors and spectators alike on the edge of their seats.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the inaugural event such a success.
And a special shout-out to Elsie, whose cookies once again disappeared in record time! The fresh coffee waiting for the early birds each morning was also very much appreciated.
But really, no amount of writing can capture the atmosphere quite like seeing it for yourself.
So sit back, enjoy the video, and relive a few of the highlights with us!
Congratulations to all the winners and the Archery800 Champion 2026, Thomas Engelhardt.
